Speech recognition using Microsoft Voice Recognizer v5.1 vs v6.1

I am using the SDK v5.1 speech recognition engine to detect voice prompts
from a device with a grammar of about 14 phrases. I use the reco tool that
comes with the SDK v5.1 to train the voice profile.

Depending on the computer being used, the engine seems to more reliably
detect a phrase when I use the v6.1 rather than the v5.1 voice recognizer and
vice versa.

Could anyone point me to a description of the differences between the v5.1
and v6.1 voice recognizers?
Thanks,
