Can someone confirm that windows server 2008 comes with SAPI and a TTS
engine, but no speech recognizer engine?

I see postings from folks copying the recognizer from vista to server
2008. Is there an officially sanctioned method for installing an ms
recognizer engine in server 2008?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes, Windows Server editions do not have WSR built in

The location of the WSR file is:
C:\Windows\Speech\Common\sapisvr.exe
on a Windows 7 computer. I don't know if copying this file will do
what you want or not?
